My Trip To Bali
This trip, I was lucky enough to experience some of the most beautiful locations and resorts the island has to offer, beginning in Nusa Dua, then to Seminyak, Sanur and Uluwatu. Wshopping in the adorable boutiques, relaxing at the cool restaurant near Tanah Lot. The thing I love most about Bali is that it offers something for everyone, amazing wave breaks, unique shopping, some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, I forgot names of 2 famous beaches.
I feel as though Bali is also a reminder of how important kindness and generosity are: the locals are so lovely and cheerful, someone was always putting a smile on my face.
While I was in town I was also lucky enough to saw Bali traditional balli dance. the dance is about Devil who killed many Bali people, then a hero arrive and saved them. The day before, a ceremonial parade known as “Ogoh-ogoh” is performed with demonic statues and floats filling the streets which symbolize negativity and bad spirits. The statues are burned at the end of the night to cleanse them of all things “evil”.
The next day, is a day of reflection, to focus on peace within ones self, the streets are empty and at night the sky is filled with thousands of silver shining stars. It was a humble and peaceful experience which I was so glad to be a part of.
The Next day we went for a boat ride to the Turtle Island Farm. On the boat, we fed the fishes with bread and we got to see them through the glass at the floor of the boat. Interesting colourful small little fishes. At the turtle farms, we got to take pictures with turtles (of course), eagles, bats, hornbills, snakes, etc. But that’s a very small place and the excitement ended quick. Back to the beach, and we felt jealous seeing the others playing the water sports while we couldn’t.
